Degas Residence: A Sales Center Inspired by Water Town Charm

Integrating East with Nature to Create an Artistic Space

The project draws inspiration from the long history of the capital culture, specifically the representative elements of city walls and creels. These elements are seamlessly incorporated into the design, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the area. The goal is to create a space that not only reflects the beauty of the water town but also provides a comfortable and artistic environment for visitors.

One of the unique properties of the Degas Residence is the sense of space and color contrast created by large blocks. The designer skillfully interpenetrates and infiltrates different spaces, resulting in a harmonious and interconnected environment. Horizontal and vertical openings add a touch of mystery, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.

The design of the Degas Residence emphasizes simplicity and minimalism. From the choice of materials to the selection of furnishings, every element is expressed in a simple yet unique language. The integration of humanistic spirit both inside and outside the space creates a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

Covering a total area of 800 square meters, the Degas Residence features a large stone facing with natural stone joints of 2mm. This attention to detail enhances the natural and harmonious appearance of the overall space.

The Degas Residence is a prime example of interior design that combines modern elegance with oriental aesthetics. By skillfully incorporating elements from the water town's culture and history, Nanjing We DesignCo.,Ltd has created a space that not only showcases the charm of the area but also provides a comfortable and artistic experience for visitors.

The project started in November 2018 and was completed in May 2019 in Taizhou. Throughout the design process, the team faced challenges in material selection and site supervision. However, their dedication to achieving the desired beauty and quality of the space led them to select stone materials from Shuitou Town in Fujian Province and conduct regular site visits.

The Degas Residence has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, technical skill, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
